This day-to-night jazz festival begins with free public performances by the region’s top high school big bands, vocal jazz choirs and jazz ensembles, and ends with an evening performance by jazz singer/songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway.  Among Ann’s many accomplishments are her starring role in the hit Broadway musical “Swing!” and writing and singing the theme to the internationally successful TV series “The Nanny”.  Ann is a devoted keeper of the flame of the Great American Songbook, and brings fresh interpretations to these timeless classics.
