This youthful Americana band hailing from Anchorage Alaska features twin fiddles, fast-picking mandolin and guitar, upright bass, and ear-catching vocals that reach beyond traditional bluegrass music. Their fresh approach to bluegrass and acoustic music ranges from evocative three-part harmonies to original songs and bluesy covers of contemporary tunes. Their unique sound and artful instrumentation won them the 2001 Band Competition at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, an honor they share with past recipients such as Nickel Creek and the Dixie Chicks.
