ECA Presents Mystical Arts of Tibet

As part of a 5-day ECA residency that includes the creation of a Mandala Sand Painting, the Tibetan monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery will give a performance combining multi-phonic chanting, music and dance into an unfogettable experience.

Vegetarian and chicken momos along with dipping sauce made from tomatoes and spices from The Everest Kitchen will be available for sale at concessions between the pre-show talk and performance tonight! Momos are a very popular street food in Nepal and Tibet. Please join us!

Pre-Show Talk*: The Symbolism of the Sand Mandala
6:00 - 6:45 pm
The Mandala is a sacred cosmogram used as an object of contemplationg. It depicts the pure nature of the world in which we live, as well as how we can live most effectively. By creating a sand Mandala, we bring the creative energy of that sacred dimension into our lives and attune ourselves to this natural perfection.

*The Pre-Show Talk is free-of-charge and open to the public.
