ECA LEGACY GIVING
HELP KEEP EDMONDS CENTER FOR THE ARTS STRONG FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS!
Everyone can benefit from estate planning regardless of age or economic status. Legacy (or planned) giving opportunities provide flexible ways for you to support Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) while at the same time provide for your family and accomplish your financial goals.
Here are just some of the ways you can support ECA with a Legacy Gift:
A bequest is simply a provision in your will or living trust that provides for a gift to ECA upon your death. It can be arranged as a part of your initial estate planning or with an amendment to existing plans. Examples include leaving a specific sum of money or a percentage of the remainder of your estate.
Beneficiary Designations of Retirement & Other Assets
You can designate ECA as one, or the sole, beneficiary of retirement plans, life insurance policies, savings bonds, annuity contracts, and bank or brokerage accounts. It is easy to arrange by completing or amending a beneficiary designation form, and can be changed if life circumstances change. It is a tax-wise way to give, as ECA is exempt from income taxes that might otherwise be owed by your heirs on gifts from these sources.
Because they are revocable, bequests and beneficiary designations provide no current federal income tax deduction, but when distributed they will be fully deductible from your taxable estate.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Making a gift in honor of or in memory of a family member or friend is a wonderful way to pay tribute to that person. Depending on the nature of your gift, there are a variety of ways we can recognize your generosity.
