Education and Community Engagement

2019-2020 Education Matinees

ECA invites educators to inspire students’ creativity and enhance their teaching tools by attending Education Matinees at Edmonds Center for the Arts. We bring to the stage a diverse selection of theatre, music and science performances for students from Pre-K through 12th grade, and provide curricular materials to connect what students see on the stage to Washington State EALRs and Common Core State Standards. In addition to performances, ECA organizes free Artist Residencies & Workshops in the schools and throughout the community.

Education Matinees are open to school groups, homeschool families and, when appropriate, groups from local senior centers and assisted living facilities. Tickets to Education Matinees are $9 per student, with one free teacher/chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets sold. $2 Arts for Everyone tickets are available based on financial need.

To reserve Education Matinee tickets or submit an Arts for Everyone application, please contact Katie Newbaum at katie@ec4arts.org or 425.275.9485.
