What do movies like The Avengers series, Back to the Future, and See You Yesterday have in common with the television series Doctor Who and quantum physics? Each depict ways people have thought about time travel. What makes time travel so powerful that it resonates in each of us, and to what lengths would we go to make it a reality? Based on University of Washington Bothell curriculum and led by EdCatalyst, Once Upon a Time Machine invites students to explore time travel from a variety of perspectives: science, history, literature, and popular culture. Students will engage in group and individual projects — including the creation of their very own time machines! — and learn directly from local experts.
As of May 9, ECA will no longer require masks or proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 lab test. All summer campers are strongly encouraged to wear masks and social distance inside the building. Please note that ECA COVID-19 policies are subject to change based on current information. We will share more details with all families in welcome materials sent by email in the weeks prior to camp.
ECA's Summer Arts Enrichment Camps are made possible with generous support from the Hazel Miller Foundation, ArtsWA, Nancy Bittner and Dennis & Lorna Lowenthal.
