Ladies of Laughter® (LOL) is all about providing funny women the opportunity to showcase their unique styles of humor, celebrating their mission to encourage and promote new and professional comediennes from all walks of life to share their humor with audiences and help jumpstart their careers. Since 2012, the national Funny and Fabulous Tour has visited legendary theaters across America with the finest talent from the national competition. Past contestants include Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli, Melissa Rauch (“Big Bang Theory”), and countless others.

Since 1992, Peggy has been a supporter of women in comedy through the Mary Jo Comedy Awards and as the creator and Executive Producer of the Ladies of Laughter national contest and tour. Peggy has provided public relations, special events and sponsorship marketing services to Anheuser-Busch, Citibank, Harrah’s Entertainment, Kraft, MasterCard and NY Waterway. In 2009, she received a Recognition Award from the Department of Homeland Security for assisting in the rescue efforts of 155 passengers aboard US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River known as the “Miracle on the Hudson.”
Leighann Lord is a New York-based comedian, writer, and actress. She is a Mary Jo Comedy Award winner and has appeared on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Showtime Network’s Funny Women of a Certain Age, ABC-TV’s The View and is a former co-host (with Neil deGrasse Tyson) of the Star Talk Radio podcast. She has performed all over the world entertaining the troops and at home to audiences in all 50 states. Leighann was a host for Center for Inquiry’s Point of Inquiry podcast. She is a fellow with the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and has been a longtime Ladies of Laughter performer at theaters nationwide.
The 2016 Professional Ladies of Laughter winner, Kelly has an extensive background in comedy, including clubs, theaters, colleges, festivals, television appearances and entertaining US troops overseas. Kelly was first runner up in the Boston Comedy Festival and voted Best of the Fest at the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival. Kelly has two albums available on iTunes, Amazon and SiriusXM radio. She has performed at the Oddball Comedy Festival, the Comedy Stage at Boston Calling Music Festival, Lucille Ball Comedy Festival – National Comedy Center and has been a featured headliner for the Boston Women in Comedy Festival since its inception. Kelly has appeared on Stand Up in Stilettos on the TV Guide Channel, The Today Show, The View, Comedy Central, NBC’s Last Comic Standing and AXS Gotham Comedy LIVE.
Already striking at 5’10” with red hair, Veronica Mosey has earned a solid reputation as a comedian with both a tremendous stage presence and the ability to engage all kinds of audiences due to her truthful opinions and likability. She has earned the title of one of the”Five Comics to Watch” by Rolling Stone Magazine as well as guest star appearances on Netflix’ “Survival of the Thickest”, Comedy Central, HBO, The Tonight Show, Fox News, VH1, TBS and more. She appears regularly at all of the top comedy clubs in New York City and around the country including the prestigious Comedy Cellar, Stand Up New York and Gotham Comedy Club. She has performed internationally in Montreal, Melbourne and Stockholm. Her sarcastic wit has been published in US Weekly Magagine’s Fasion Police as well as the New York Post. Veronica was a Finalist in the 2000 Ladies of Laughter Grand Finale in Atlantic City.
