Education and Community Engagement

Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA) is committed to expanding the reach and impact of our performances by actively engaging students, teachers, and community members of all ages in Education & Community Engagement. ECA’s Education & Community Engagement programs include:

  • WE SPEAK Youth Poetry Slam Competition – Part of ECA’s Annual WE SPEAK Festival, a celebration of spoken word poetry and storytelling.
  • Life on Music Book Club – For Children 0-5 years old & their grown-ups | 8-Week Series | OCT 1 – NOV 19 | Tuesdays 9:30-11:15 AM
  • Join us for Ukulele Explorers – An Introductory Journey for Ages 7-12: April 2 - May 16 | Tues & Thurs | 5:30-6:30 PM
  • Kidstock! – ECA’s FREE, annual family arts celebration, featuring main stage performances, arts education workshops, and activities for kids.
  • Summer Arts Enrichment Camps – Week-long performing arts and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) programs for students ages 7 and up.
  • Dementia-Inclusive Series – ECA’s award-winning arts engagement program for individuals with memory loss and their loved ones.
  • Education Matinees – ECA offers diverse, curriculum-aligned theatre, music, dance and science performances. Education Matinees provide students the invaluable opportunity to experience the arts live at ECA’s beautiful theatre.
  • Arts Access Programs – ECA is proud to offer Arts for Everyone, a $2 ticket program for low-income students and families, and transportation subsidies through Aunt Bette’s Bus Fund.
  • Teacher Professional Development – FREE clock-hour opportunities through ECA’s certification by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) as an In-service Education Agency.
  • Artist Residencies & Outreach – Opportunities for ECA Presented artists to visit classrooms and community venues for customized arts engagement programs.
