POSTPONED: ECA Education Matinee: Kattam and His Tam Tams

/

This event has been postponed. Stay tuned for updates.

Music is the best passport to discovering the many cultures of the world! Percussionist Kattam invites students to discover Africa, the Middle East, and India through rhythm, song, and dance. From African rap and desert dance to trance Sufi rhythm and Bollywood dance, Kattam never fails to entertain.

Education Matinees are open to school groups, homeschool families, and when appropriate, groups from local senior centers and assisted living facilities. Tickets are $9 per student, with one free teacher/chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets sold. ECA is now accepting applications for Arts for Everyone and Aunt Bette’s Bus Fund in the 2020-21 school year. With the goal to increase access to the arts, schools with 30% or higher of students on Free & Reduced-Price Meal programs and homeschool families with financial barriers are given priority for $2 student tickets and transportation subsidies, pending availability.

To reserve Education Matinee tickets or submit an Arts for Everyone or Aunt Bette’s Bus Fund application, please contact Katie Newbaum, Education & Outreach Coordinator, at katie@ec4arts.org.
